Mr. David Sousa is the Division Director for the Federal Protective Service (FPS), Countermeasures Operations Division. He has over 25 years of experience in the law enforcement and security professions. He currently serves as the senior management official responsible for overall leadership of the national technical countermeasures program which includes the fulfillment of FPS physical and technical security responsibilities. In his current role, Mr. Sousa develops and implements mission essential national program goals and objectives for security countermeasures used to protect 9,000 federal facilities throughout the nation and its territories. Prior to this, Mr. Sousa served on the United States Capitol Police (USCP) force for 11 years and most recently as the Associate Director of the USCP, Security Services Bureau (SSB).
