Melissa Mejias is a senior legislative representative at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). Prior to her time at APTA, Melissa served in a senior-level position at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water, as a legislative analyst for the International Association of Drilling Contractors and as a policy advisor and safety and security compliance inspector for the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry.  For over a decade, she served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Melissa received her Master of Public Administration and Policy from American University and a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
