Todd Veazie joined Kiernan Group Holdings because he believes that transformative ideas coupled with vision, leadership, passion and a little luck can change the world. Serving as the Chief Operating Officer at KGH allows him to commit to that promise by delivering evidence-based, multi-disciplinary solutions to complex problems facing citizens, businesses, and public servants. Todd has over three decades of earned experience leading large and small teams where exquisite problem solving, intellectual curiosity, and embracing cognitive diversity were mission imperatives.

Before joining KGH, Todd served for thirty years as a Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) officer attaining the rank of Captain. He transitioned to the federal executive service where he was assigned to the National Counterterrorism Center. At NCTC he led a Congressionally directed mission to support the President and national policymakers’ strategic choices by rigorously challenging our critical assumptions about terrorism and counterterrorism. By exploring the future of terrorism and researching and producing whole of government “net assessments” of guiding principles, system dynamics, and strategic effectiveness he and his team expanded the U.S. government’s strategic horizons and approaches.

In the Navy he served in East and West Coast SEAL Teams and deployed to over fifty countries around the globe. He led Naval Special Warfare formations in the execution of combat and peacetime special operations missions in Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Western Pacific, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Command tours include SEAL Team SEVEN in San Diego, Naval Special Warfare Unit THREE in Bahrain as well as duty as Commodore, Naval Special Warfare Group FOUR in Virginia Beach.

He served in numerous staff assignments including Executive Director of Joining Forces in the Office of the First Lady at the White House where he led a national call to action that fostered action-oriented public-private partnerships to improve the lives of millions of veterans and military-connected families.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina and is a 2003 graduate of the National War College earning a Master’s in Science degree in National Security Strategy.

Mr. Veazie is the recipient of numerous awards and commendations recognizing excellence in military and public service. He speaks frequently on topics of servant leadership, national security, and complex adaptive systems applications.
